Bobbi Browns' Make-up Dos and Don'ts
"You should stand out, not your make-up." — Bobbi Brown
Bobbi says the most import thing with make-up is to experiment and go with your best feature! Read below for some specific tips.
Make-up colors
Do use pink — it looks good on everyone. Teens should use make-up that is "pretty, pastel, and sheer."
Lips
Do use a sheer lip-gloss.
Do use lip liner that is the color of your lips. If you have to blend your liner, it is the wrong color.
Do wear lip-gloss if you do have braces. It will keep your lips moist and pretty, drawing attention away from your braces.
Foundation
Don't wear foundation all over the face.
Do find a foundation color that "disappears" on your face, and use this to cover just your blemishes.
Eyebrows
Do start tweezing your eyebrows at about 12-years old — but only a little bit.
Do visit a professional the first time you shape your eyebrows.
Don't fill in your eyebrows with a color that is darker that your hair color.
Eyeliner
Don't use black or liquid eyeliner, and don't line the entire eye.
Do use a mahogany eyeliner, or a shadow as an eyeliner. Line the top lid close to the lashes.
Glasses
Do look for smaller frames.
Do use a frame shape opposite from the shape of your face.
