Rum Hot Toddy

Ingredients:

1/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup spiced rum
2 tablespoons honey
3 cups boiling water
4 cinnamon sticks
4 lemon slices

Spread sugar on small plate. Dip rims of mugs into cold water.
Dip moistened rims of mugs into sugar. Mix rum and honey in 4-cup
measuring cup. Add 3 cups boiling water; stir to blend. Divide
hot toddy among prepared mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and
lemon slices and serve.


Jack Daniel's Lynchburg Lemonade recipe

Scale ingredients to servings
1 part Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey
1 part sweet and sour mix
1 part triple sec
4 parts Sprite soda

would this work without honey?? I am desperately allergic.

I buy hot buttered rum mix and rum, it doesn't need honey!

I have a recipe for hot buttered rum:
Hot Buttered Rum

1/2 pound butter

1/2 pound brown sugar

1/2 pound confectioners’ sugar

2 cups vanilla ice cream

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions

In a big pot melt butter over medium heat. Stir in both sugars until dissolved.

Remove from heat and stir in the ice cream, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Allow the batter to cool then store in the freezer. Its like ice cream so a large Tupperware or other sealed container works well.

To serve:

In a coffee size mug add 1-2 tablespoons of the batter, an oz of rum (or not) and then top off with boiling water. Stir and serve.

Tips: Add a dash of nutmeg just before serving and/or serve with a cinnamon stick
