Everyone gets stressed — and many of us turn to food to feel better. But gaining weight certainly doesn't help. Here are some ideas to break the cycle:
Practice deep breathing and relaxing your muscles one at a time.
Tense and then relax your muscles one at a time.
Take up yoga, pilates or t'ai chi.
Take out your frustrations with a sponge — on your dirty sink, floor or toilet.
Mash some clay in pottery class, shovel some dirt in the garden or do other physical hobbies that are energetic and productive.
